In California, regulations have been implemented to protect the public from exposure to Naturally Occurring Asbestos. The most common type of NOA asbestos is chrysotile, other types such as tremolite and actinolite are also found in California. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) identified all asbestos fibers, irrespective of length, with an aspect ratio greater than or equal to 3, equally hazardous to public health.

Who is Most Susceptible to Lead Exposure?

Who is most susceptible to lead exposure and lead poisoning? Typically, it’s children under the age of six. Kids are always grabbing objects and putting them in their mouths, potentially exposing them to materials that may be covered in or contaminated by lead. Exposure is generally more dangerous for them because their bodies are developing and are most vulnerable in this age range.

Camp Fire Debris Removal Program Deadline Passed

March 15th was the deadline to “Opt-Out” of CalRecycle Debris Removal Program. If you are already in the CalRecycle Program, you may not “Opt-Out” to the Alternative Debris Removal Programs.

However, if you are not signed up for either program, you may still submit an Alternative Work Plan.
